Divine Leather

A button is an object that is used in clothing, or for fixing or embellishment or two. The buttons are usually in the form a disc or button. Experience shows that the buttons have been used forever and buttons used in 1500-2000 BC C. 2600-2800 BC C. have been excavated in the ancient Indus valley, while those used in 1500-2000 BC have been found in China and as in Rome.

The materials used in the buttons

The buttons are made of a variety of materials - plastics, wood, brass, bone, horn, pearl, ivory, cloth, shells, glass, leather, stone, ceramic and polymer clay.

Evolution Buttons

In the 13th century, buttons are used ornaments and then began to be used as an element of functional fixation in the 16th century. During the 15th and 16th centuries, buttons, coated Gold and silver have been popular among the nobility. In the 18th century, the tendency of the enamel buttons located in the 19th century, buttons, fabric and glass and ceramics began to be used if the glass and ceramic buttons are not very popular. By mid-19th century, buttons, shells, beads, horn, steel and bronze has become popular. Towards the latter part of 19th century enamel buttons made a comeback. In 1930, the buttons began to be made using wood and plastic.

Buttons are first introduced as a form of ornamentation of a garment, but over time, began to serve as fasteners. In the 1940s, men used to take about 70 buttons on clothing, which only some have been useful for the attachment.

After WWII, the buttons began more reasons to use functional and decorative purposes.

Types of buttons

Buttons can be of different types such as:

1) keys Planar: Keys plates have holes that can be sewn into clothing. These buttons can be 2 or 4 holes on its surface. These buttons can be attached to clothing either manually or using a sewing machine.

2) Shank buttons: Shank buttons have a tail, a small bar or a ring attached to its back. The buttons can be connected to clothing to use this bar.

3) the buttons covered: covered buttons refer to the buttons that are made of fabric, which is fixated on the back. These buttons can be attached to clothing using this accessory.
